Definite signs that you're aging:
1. asking your girlfriend what she and her boyfriend had for dinner..and respond to whatever she answers by the natural follow up question: OH, what ingredients did you use?

2. Drink a glass and a half of red wine and get hung over up to the point where you have to stay in bed until 12 o clock the next day. Even if you drank a liter of water and took two aspirin before you went to bed.
but then again. As long as I am aware of the signs. I am not in the risk zone of becoming a TANT (auntie type?) And I have not yet starting to use my used rubbergloves to make hair ribbons..

..Its good to stay alert and aware right?
At 27....I´m not getting younger..But shame on the one who gives up early!
T
he human mind, I have found works in mysterious ways. It seems to work in a kind of self deceiving way actually. And I think it has something to do with self preservation.
Sayings like: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"..and "The harder you fall the higher you bounce"..all explain these workings of the mind. It is Something we do and practice everyday without giving it much consideration actually.
We try to win over ourselves. Its what keeps us going. IS it the very Darwinists essence of existence? A force that makes us The survivors and the superior creatures in nature? The survivor of the strongest?

Anyway. That is the only explanation I have for the fact that I managed to go running on the beach in midday..despite dehydration and hang over. I decided that my body and headache should not win over my will to do what I do.
Now it´s possible this can be classified as mental illness aswell... I leave the rest unsaid.

During my jog i met Eli and her brother, running and sweating and being just as healthy on a Sunday as I was..so we decided to balance things out by havinga relaxing coffee on Elis veranda in the afternoon. I decided to use Eli, her brother Odysseas and boyfriend Asa as test rabbits for my Drömrulltårta (swiss roll a la suede) which I experimented with by using cornflour instead of Potatoe flour.
Turns out it passed the test (with them as well) and I can safely make some more amounts for easter...

Monday tomorrow. The Great week begins. "Megali Evdomada". Easter week.
I feel it a bit now. the Easter spirit...When I came home form Eli´s Niks mom had made "aggináres", artichokes. My favorite vegtebale in the whole world. If you eat fresh boiled artichokes in Greece. It is spring for sure.

Here´s another SURE sign of spring I managed to capture the other night off the bedroom veranda:

Nope..its not a radioactive Kidney Bean...
Its a glow-worm. But I prefer the Greek word for it which is: "kolo fotitsa" basically means...little ass glower..I love how Greek is so straightforward..I mean why call it something that actually doesn´t describe exactly what it is?The Greek word describes, better than the English, the fact that it is actually only the Rear part of the insect that glows..instead of just naming it, the word actually says something about the biology of the little creature.

Heres a beach pic from today.
Just to make you all a bit jealous..
But not to be mean..only So that you'll come visit me soon...
