Class today in Entrepeneurship in the Experrience Ecoonomy. A masters course which is a mixture of economics, estetics and communication..basically we are a group of people from economics and estetics who solve the same problems with our different backgrounds to support us. The purpose of the course is exactly that. to practice working together with people from other disciplines than you, and to create value from our different viewpoints and knowledgegrounds.
We really have different ways of seeing and explaining the world and I noticed today that my view on the world, on koncepts and approaches, during these two years Ive been in university, has taken pure economic turns. I have changed my views to see everything as value creating or as business koncepts. Where has The artistic and soft side of me gone? Somehow it has disappeard from my world of perceptions. The majority of me, my personality, was always to the estetic side, I had sensation and feeling and a natural taste for estetics, shapes, music and art.
Today I came to the insight that teh university has changed my "true" nature into an economic value creating machine. Sad? Maybe. But now that I am aware of it, it doesnt necessarily have to be a bad thing. I'd rather have the best from two worlds than being either an extreme artist or poet or wrriter etc. on the one hand or a hardcore economist who sees the world in structures and figures on the other. So the conclusion: If you ask yourself on a regular basis where you came from, where you are going and if your wishes matches your actions. You can always have a rality check and see if you are on the right track. The important thing is that youre content with yourself, what you want and what youre doing.
