yes I have been idle. uninspired and quite busy to be honest. people been coming and going..and coming again, WOrk has taken up a lot of time amaxingly. bustours, boats and caretta caretta...
Dear Mrs. S (see July 2007 posts for update) have been visiting Kalamaki and has given me a few days of very bright comapny...
Niks cousins have been here for nearly two weeks and time just goes too fast..
Said goodbye to Giorgos and Sophia toniight over some Bohali sweets and hot chocoalte. Bohali is the place to go on this island for sweet tooths and for those thirsty for a stunning view. We did the Greek/Swedish thing..and had some good laughs.
When all of a sudden the island emptied out..when the Greek and Italians have left..the weather suddenly changed as a reminder that winter is not far away..even if Zakynthos is sun secure all the way into late october..the northerns wind that swept over the island after St. Dionysis day last sunday..gossiped about the shift of season. Personally I am happy that "hellmonth'(as my firned Anna who has lived here for ten years likes calls AUgust) is over...
With silence however, comes a slight distress. As much as I want to live according o the motto so well expressed in Bob Marleys song "Don't worry..about a thing..cause every little thing is gonna be alright..."I still cant help to be a seasonal person..autumn is usually a good period in my cycle..and I am hoping this one isnt an exception. But for the first time in many years..autumn and winter is uncertain..I cant work as a tourguide forever and the qualm of not being able to occupy my time with something else in winter is lingering...
Having that said...I will fall asleep tonite with the same advice to myself as I gave a friend the other day...if things are bad today..they can only get better tomorrow..
